Biography

Cassie is a recent graduate from the University of Wyoming College of Law who joined Wick & Trautwein, LLC in the summer of 2023. Before joining the firm, she worked as a law clerk for the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Dockets for the District Courts of the Nineteenth Judicial District in Greeley, Colorado. While currently exploring various areas of practice as a new attorney, she is particularly interested in Administrative Law, Business Law, Estate Planning, Environment & Natural Resources, Land Use & Zoning, Legislation & Regulation, Municipal Law, Probate, Property Law, Tribal Law, and Water Rights.

While in law school, Cassie focused on civil practice and public access to justice, gaining hands-on experience through programs such as the UW College of Law’s Civil Legal Services Clinic and Estate Planning Practicum, both of which provide low-cost legal services for indigent individuals across Wyoming. She also engaged in independent study for the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Practicum.

Beyond clinics and practicums, Cassie externed with the Policy Office of the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, focusing on legislation and policy for the rights of survivors of domestic violence. Outside the classroom, she regularly volunteered with the Laramie Animal Welfare Society and supported Laramie Interfaith, a non-profit providing food and housing services to those in need.

Cassie and her husband, Jake, live in Fort Collins and are thrilled to be exploring the area. They frequently visit friends and family in Wyoming. In her free time, Cassie enjoys painting, swimming, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, and playing board games and tabletop games with friends.
